Spring Break 2011

While the girls were out of school for spring break, we decided to take a trip down to Utah and visit with my family for a couple of days. Ally had an appointment in SLC, so it worked out great. The first day we were there, we went to ally's doc appointment and then decided to stop by were grandpa (my dad) works for a quick visit. He works at the SLC capitol building. After words, we took a walk around temple square. Bayley had been begging to "go to the temple" for weeks now. It was fun. The next day my mom and I took the girls to the Discovery Gateway Museum in SLC. They had a blast. It was fun to get away for a couple of days and to see grandma and grandpa!

Catching up........Again!

The following posts, there are many, are from the half of the year that I haven't been blogging. I am really going to try to do better! Still not caught up yet, but getting there. So......if you want, enjoy!

Happily Ever After

I have recently had the opportunity to work as 2nd counselor in our wards Young Women. It has been a blast so far. We had so much fun in February at our New Beginnings Program. We had a fun skit, based on a princess who find that she can have her "happily ever after" by being a part of young women and learning about personal progress. We also watched a talk by Elder Uchtdorf titled "Happily Ever After" . It was great. Here is a pic of us all in costume. I was "Professor Rumplestiltskin".

6 years old!!!!!

Saedy celebrated her 6th birthday in January. She got spoiled! And had lots of fun.

Here she is at 2 weeks old....just for a fun flashback. (Sorry about the big light in the middle of the picture, I'm so high tech...I took a pic of a picture and didn't turn the flash off, then when I realized it, after I had already downloaded it off my camera, I was too lazy to do it again.)

She got a barbie and a barbie car

My attempt at making "S" shaped pancakes for breakfast.

Saedy's fairy cake

Friend party....playing "tinkerbell" says

As you can see...she got spoiled

Family party....the next day

We love having Saedy as a part of our family. She is so cute, fun and funny. She is such an obedient and loving little girl. Happy Birthday Saed!

Just for Fun!

One weekend "just for fun" we decided to take a trip up to Jackson Hole and see what we could see. It turned out great. The hotel we stayed at didn't have any "regular" rooms available so we ended up in a suite for the same price. The favorite part of the room. The giant jacuzzi tub.

Posing by the tub

The pool at the hotel was cold so the girls swam in the hot tub

Like I said, the pool was cold. Bayley wasn't going for it.

And of course.....we saw some wildlife. Here are a bunch of Elk. We also saw buffalo, and some big horn sheep. The sheep were far enough away we couldn't get a great picture with our cheap camera but we could see them great with our binoculars. We also saw two moose on our way out of town. The camera battery, of course, was dead by then. :)

New Years 2011

For our small but fun New Years Eve party, my sister and her two boys came up. We spent the night playing "Just Dance" on the Wii and the kids had a ton of fun doing Chinese jump rope. A favorite of mine when I was a kid. Then we rang in the new year and went to bed. Oh, and of course, we had lots of goodies!

Christmas 2010

Christmas was a bit different this year because we spent Christmas Eve and morning at our own home. We haven't done this since we moved from Utah. It was great. We did some activities, watched a movie, and read the Christmas story on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning we woke up, opened gifts then headed to Utah. We spent most of the day at my parents house. We had a talent show, a delicious lunch and opened more gifts. Then we headed back north to Jeff's parents. We opened gifts and played games. After spending the night there, we headed home. It was a fun Christmas!
