Summer Vacations

Ok, so I know it has been way too long since I posted anything, but I am not so sure anyone really reads this anyway! But I am going to try and keep up better, so please feel free to check back often.

Last week Jeff took a trip to Alaska with his dad, brother, and brother in law, to go salmon and halibut fishing. They had a really good time, despite the fact that it rained almost every day they were there! They did well, Jeff caught a 35 lb salmon and two halibut around 30 lbs each. So we have a lot of yummy fish to eat for a while!

Here is a picture of Jeff with his salmon.

One of the days they visited the Harley Davidson Store in Anchorage, AK. This statue of a bear made out of chrome metal was pretty cool according to Jeff.

While the guys were in Alaska, me and the girls took a mini vacation to Utah to visit with grandma (my mom) and the rest of the fam.

One of the days we went swimming at the newly remodeled "bubble" now called the South Davis Rec Center. It was a lot of fun. They had swimming indoors and out and a lot of fun water toys and slides for the kids. They had a blast.

We also visited the Discovery Gateway Museum in SLC. It also turned out to be a great experience for the kids. They especially loved playing in the "kids eye view" which had a market place, construction zone, house with kitchen, a farm, a water area, and even a little play area for toddlers. It was crowded, but they played for hours!
Saedy playing in the water explration area. You could put little balls in the different tubes and pulleys and things and watch them float around.

After the girls were done at the museum they played out in the fountains in Gateway Plaza.

The address of the market in the gateway museum was "one pickle road" so we had to get a picture of our "pickles" next to the mailbox.
